If you are an SFR customer travelling to Morocco, the key fact is simple: Morocco is not in the EU roaming zone, so the data included in your plan for Europe does not apply there. What you pay depends on your plan and on the pass you add.
Why we do not quote an SFR price here
SFR's roaming rates and passes depend on the plan, and we could not read a current Morocco rate on a public SFR page that we could cite. Rather than print a figure that may be wrong for your plan, here is how to find yours in two minutes:
- Open the SFR & Moi app or your online account.
- Look for the roaming / international section and select Morocco.
- Note three things: the price of the Morocco pass, what it includes (data volume and validity), and the out-of-bundle rate per megabyte if you have no pass.
For scale, other French carriers publish these out-of-bundle rates for Morocco: 13.31 € per MB at Orange and 10.24 € per MB at Bouygues (read 27 August 2026). Out-of-bundle data outside Europe is expensive everywhere.
Settings that prevent a surprise bill
- If you have no pass, turn data roaming off on your SFR line before the plane lands.
- Turn off automatic app updates and photo backup outside Wi-Fi.
- If you use an eSIM for data, keep Allow Mobile Data Switching (iPhone) or the Android equivalent off, so data never falls back to your SFR line.
The alternatives
